Copyright and Citations
Copyright Home > Before You Copy > Copyright and Citations
When permission is granted for reproduction, there is almost always the requirement that the source of the material be acknowledged. This is done by supplying an appropriate citation and reference. Reproduction under one of the exceptions in the Copyright Act often also requires the source to be acknowledged. For these reasons, it is important to ensure that any material reproduced either with permission or under one of the exceptions in the Act is properly acknowledged.
Consult Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Citation Support page or contact your librarian or instructor to learn more about citation practices.
