Research Services

Library staff will help you select or replace course materials to ensure they are current and copyright compliant. Librarians can support as you adopt, adapt and create Open Educational Resources for your courses. We also perform information searches to help you with your teaching and/or research in your capacity as an employee.

To request a search, complete the Information Search Request Form or contact your library liaison.

Enhanced support for research projects is also available on a case-by-case basis, and can be requested through your library liaison. For more information about the Library’s position on the provision of research services, please see our Advanced Research Services Library Statement.

Need something the Library doesn’t own or have full-text access to? Complete our Interlibrary Loan Request Form to request an article, chapter, or other item free-of-charge.

Collection Services

Saskatchewan Polytechnic Library supports the teaching and learning needs of our students and programs. The collection contains a broad range of materials and formats, including books, journals, streaming videos, and databases. In addition, the Library also provides access to Open Education Resources (OER) and the Pressbooks publishing tool, that enables the Saskatchewan Polytechnic community to create, customize and share learning materials, removing cost as a barrier to accessing learning materials.

Liaisons work with programs at Saskatchewan Polytechnic to select library materials to support the curriculum of that program. Liaisons also maintain the Research Guides for that program and notify programs of newly arrived items, database trials, and other library news.
