Capture the Spirit of Open Education and Win a Prize! 📸

Join our OE Week Photo Contest by submitting your best photos that showcase the power and impact of open education. Whether it’s a snapshot of collaborative learning, innovative teaching methods, or the joy of sharing knowledge, we want to see it all! Submit your entries and celebrate the essence of open education with us.

As Saskatchewan Polytechnic celebrates Open Education Week, the library will offer opportunities to learn about Open Education and to engage with Open Licenses through a photo contest.  
 
Four (4)  lucky students or employees who submit a photo will win a gift certificate to The Commons at their nearest campus valued at $75! 

The contest runs March 2nd to March 16th. 

How to enter:   

  1. Get inspired and take a photo! 
  2. Submit your photo electronically. The link to the contest portal will provide you with the submission information. 
  3. When submitting, be prepared to provide the following: 
  • your name as author/creator of the photo,  
  • a title for your photo,  
  • your selection of a Creative Commons license on the submission page – this communicates how others can use your photo. 
  • The campus nearest you. 

What happens next:  

  1. Photos will be judged by Library staff. To win, a photo will respect the following criteria: 
  • Have all requested information items in the submission form, 
  • Be professional and appropriate to a collegial setting, 
  • File size is <10 MB 
  1. Winners will be announced no later than March 24th, 2026. 
  2. Submitted photos will be assembled into an Open Education Resource (OER) in the Saskatchewan Polytechnic Pressbooks Repository.
