AI Literacy Day - March 27, 2026: Building Skills for Learning, Integrity, and the Workplace

On March 27, 2026, Saskatchewan Polytechnic is marking AI Literacy Day by focusing on the everyday skills students and instructors need to use AI confidently and responsibly. AI is already part of learning and work—from writing and research to trades, healthcare, design, and job applications. Knowing how to use AI properly helps students work honestly, maintain academic integrity, and be ready for today’s workplaces.

Why AI Literacy Matters at a Polytechnic

At Sask Polytech, AI literacy helps you:

  • Know when AI can help your learning—and when using it could cross the line with academic integrity or professional expectations.
  • Check if information is reliable, so you can spot misinformation, fake images or videos, and make good decisions in hands-on, real-world situations.
  • Use AI honestly in your schoolwork, including knowing when and how to explain or cite AI use in assignments and projects.
  • Understand what employers expect, since AI is already changing how work gets done in trades, health care, business, IT, and other industries.

For instructors, AI literacy helps make expectations clearer, supports fair and honest learning, and connects classroom work to what students will face on the job.
