Getting Started: Live Orientation Sessions

 

This live presentation series gives you the opportunity to hear about Sask Polytech supports, services and other key information to get you started on the right foot. Meet our friendly staff during themed weekly Zoom sessions and get your questions answered before classes start.

Session 1 - Meet Your Academic Supports (June 9, July 7, August 4, & September 1)
Session 2 - Healthy Minds and Bodies for Students (June 16, July 14, August 11, & September 8)
Session 3 - Good Relations and Personal Safety (June 23, July 21, August 18, & September 15)
Session 4 - Employment, Awards, and Getting Settled (June 30, July 28, August 25, & September 22)

Session 1 - Meet Your Academic Supports
This session will introduce you to your supports from Learning Services, the Library, and the Student Advocate. Learn about what's okay... and what isn't... in your Sask Polytech studies.

Session 2 - Healthy Minds and Bodies for Students
This session will introduce you to your supports from the Wellness areas including Counselling, Accessibility, and Fitness. Start your year off right, both physically and mentally!

Session 3 - Good Relations and Personal Safety
This session will introduce you to Student Relations, the team who helps you navigate non-academic misconduct situations. You will also learn about miyo wâhkôhtowin (Good Relations) at school and about Sask Polytech's safety and security services and expectations.

Session 4 - Employment, Awards, and Getting Settled
This session will introduce you to the Sask Polytech Students' Association, overseeing the student health and dental plan, tax services, used textbooks, and more! You will also learn about Student Employment Services and Student Awards. Information specific to International students will follow.
